Our FIFTH Year! July 26 – Aug 2, 2020:

“IF THIS HOUSE COULD TALK!”

This is a family and neighborhood event during Yankee Homecoming week (Last week of July)
.
It’s simple, easy, grass roots, and fun.

Grab your kids, your spouse, your neighbor, go to the library, do an internet search, or simply discuss something that you know about your home and/or the people in it – historical or modern day – that you wouldn’t mind sharing with neighbors. Put it into 3 or 4 sentences on poster board, hang it out in front of the house, and Voila! A reason to walk around, meet our neighbors, and admire our homes!

The Preservation Trust and the Newburyport Public Library Archival Center are behind it.  We’ll provide the poster board and markers, you provide the stories, and then we all walk around the neighborhood reading them!
